He ends up clinging to Phoenix during the night, seeking for any source of comfort.

I've perused the kinkmeme intermittently over the last few years, and I don't recall if anyone's done a Good Wife AU? I'd love to see a narumitsu version!
To sum up: Phoenix and Edgeworth are married and have kids (I'm imagining teen! Apollo and preteen! Trucy). Edgeworth is "chief prosecutor" as in the games, but using real world USA rules, this is an elected position. He's either the district or state attorney, as you see fit. When Edgeworth was elected and the kids were young, Phoenix quit his job as a defence attorney to be a house husband.
Now Edgeworth is accused of misusing state money and having sex with hookers and is sent to jail, forcing Phoenix to go back to work and stand by his man. I would prefer it if Edgeworth was totally innocent, of course (ESPECIALLY of the having sex with hookers charge!) so Phoenix not only has to rebuild his life, protect his kids from vicious rumours, go back to work after his attorney skills got all rusty, and deal with everybody's endless judgments and gossip about him and his husband, but also uncover the conspiracy against Edgeworth.

I've seen some fics about Trucy feeling ignored as Phoenix gets his old career back, but I have a headcanon that she's in fact terrified of not being needed. Her father abandoned her, and the closest thing to her next of kin never made a move to care for her.
Phoenix was not in the best mental state when he took her in, and she picked up on just how much Phoenix needed someone to need him to give himself a reason to live. Since he doesn't know the first thing about magic, Trucy's skills are a real asset to him financially, and she will only get better at magic and thus more valuable. When things do well for Phoenix, she knows it's good for the both of them, and everything is better when he's happier, but a fear creeps in under the happiness that warns her to not get too comfortable.
In short: at some point, whether in the present as the WAA fills with successful lawyers (and Trucy nears adulthood) or in her childhood when things are just starting to stabilize, something causes Trucy's underlying anxiety about her usefulness and an irrational fear of abandonment to come bubbling up to the surface in a way that she can't cover up with a performer's smile.

The fish soon follows suit and starts kissing all his friends instead of spreading sadness, ending with him kissing the purple fish.
Anyways, I felt super dirty reading the last couple pages. If you were to substitute the story with humans, it implies that the Pout-Pout Fish's friends hired a prostitute to get him out of his depression, which led to him getting so horny that he goes around fucking all his friends. Or, maybe, I'm just a raging pervert who probably should keep his mind out of the gutter while reading children's books. Your choice.
So, I imagined Larry Butz (after Phoenix's disbarment) reading Pearl or Trucy one of Misty Fey's children's books with a similar story. Laurice immediately comes to the conclusion that if he were to hire Nick a prostitute, he'd be happy again... and Nick would probably be so thankful that he would reward his best friend. He comes across an ad for a Trés Bien girly escort looking for work, and signs her (him?) up. Shenanigans ensue, ending with Pearl being displeased that Mr. Nick would ever reject Mystic Maya's love. Trucy, on the other hand, is confused whether an out-of-work French chef-turned-prostitute will be her new mommy...

The truth of the Magatama:
When Maya gave the Magatama to Phoenix, she knew it'd help him; but later on she is surprised when he tells her what it does. How is this possible?
Because the Magatama is not a tool of one purpose.
It's a jewel of souls.
Phoenix is a lawyer, that's his talent and his identity, and what that means to him is I discover truth in words. So he got the ability to see Psyche-Locks, to take questioning a witness to a new level. Edgeworth has used it for the same thing, and that's because even on the opposite side of the courtroom, he does the same thing, and that is his identity.
The jewel of souls strengthens the power of your own soul. And different souls have different gifts.
In the hands of the spirit mediums of Kurain, a Magatama helped channel spirits. If Maya used it, it would somehow augment or amplify her spiritual power.
If Ema used it, it'd give another power again, because Ema's Gift is forensic science; she learns truth not through words but objects. The Magatama would help her do that. Perhaps she wouldn't need glasses, luminol, or powders to discover who'd touched an object and what they'd done with it, with the jewel on her side.
Trucy is an illusionist. I make people see wonders. Kay is a thief. I take what I want by stealth. Machi's a pianist. I speak my soul through music. For each of them Magatama would be no foreign tool but one they would understand at once.
And that is what I wish to see. There's many a soul in these games that has a Gift, a talent that is their identity. Give the Magatama to someone who never used it in canon-and show me what magic's in their heart!
(...and if you wish to write something with horror to it...there are some terrifying villains here too. Perhaps ask; what extra edge would Magatama give to von Karma, to Engarde, to Dahlia, to Kristoph, to the Phantom...)

I just finished DD for the first time and I am craving a very specific flavor of Blackbright. There's real!Fulbright stuff out there, of course, but I haven't been able to find anything where the sob story he dropped in response to the initial suspicions was true: he was furthering the phantom's ends and exploiting Blackquill's trust because the phantom was coercing him. But there was one that was his favourite, and he taught it to his two best friends, Phoenix and Larry, since neither of them knew it themselves; their families were not churchgoing.

Phoenix is ridiculous in that he lacks common sense for his own safety. He lets friends walk over him because of his laid-back nature. He's an anxious, sweaty mess on the inside when in cases because again, he's at disadvantage because of lack of preparation time, etc. He gets with Maya into the ladder vs stepladder debate. He makes many of his arguments up on the spot because of said lack of preparation and bluffs in outrageous ways based on contradictions.
None of that makes him any less terrifying in canon.
Please give me Phoenix when he intimidates and terrifies people when he's outside the courtroom. He's for once, of course not officially, verbally whipping the investigation personnel into shape because they are slacking off on an important cases. He, in a tight spot where he admittedly works the best, figures out a criminal's plan that would hurt others and disables it without the criminal's notice. He uses his hobo persona to lure somebody out of hiding. He knocks somebody twice his size down after they threatened a loved one. Or he glares so acidly that Miles would be proud, intimidating somebody to freeze in fear.

Ok, so one of my favourite tropes is gruff and grumpy person claims they don't like children, but then gruff and grumpy person and small child/children get stuck in dangerous situation and gruff and grumpy person becomes very overprotective and parental and realises children aren't that bad after all.
So, take one adult (I'd love Lang or Franziska, but I'm definitely open to suggestion) and one or more child (Pearl, young Trucy, Rayfa, John Marsh, anyone you can think of really) and put them in danger. Happy endings are best, and I'd prefer no children are hurt, but if you want the adult to get mildly injured in defense of the child, I'd be totally down for that.

So an AA character (of your choosing) has a crazy belief that their abilities (lawyering, spirit channeling, or whatever the character is good at) is powered by the sun. They believe that when the sun goes down their power is gone and they are weak, but once the sun gets back up, they go completely insane.
Other characters try to explain that his/her's powers are not determined by the sun, but they are ignored.

When Mia was still alive, she had a really bad habit, or perhaps a really questionable kink. She liked to get really drunk and have risky, often unprotected sex, often with multiple partners at once. She knew it was a terrible habit, and more than a little dangerous especially given that she occasionally got so wasted that it borderline compromised her ability to consent, but she always managed to stay within her limits (it helps that she usually slept with people who were conscientious about that) and...well, she got off on the whole thing. A lot. Even when she thought about it while sober.
Years later, it turns out that post-timeskip Maya's...taken after her sister in that regard.
Possible fills could focus on either Mia or Maya specifically instead of covering both, although I'll love you if you do include both of them. Gimme a dorky but bamf!Phoenix who cracks the case and saves Edgeworth from Von Karma while rocking a fancy butler suit!

an ot3 adopts a child (they can be a child in canon or an aged-down character, either is fine). person A and B are both great with the child from the get-go and the kid opens up to them and loves them like parents. you know, cute family moments and all that.
person C of the ot3 really loves the child, but is often gruff and finds it difficult to communicate with them. they start doing little things for them in secret (leaving paper cranes on their bed, baking their favorite cookies, something like that). the child thinks its person A or B at first, but eventually realizes it's person C. sweet adoptive parent/child fluff ensues.
the child can be anybody and the ot3 can be anyone, but i'd LOVE person C to be either edgeworth or franziska. i just need a fic where a poly ship become parents, those are surprisingly rare.

Eh, I've never made a request before, but hey. Worth a try.
So, if Manfred von Karma upped and killed the dude who got him a tiny penalty, what do you think he would do to the guy who both beat him in court AND outed him as a murderer? Whumpy things, that's what. So what I want is von Karma's revenge on Phoenix (whumpity whump) and possibly other characters flipping out and trying to help. It can be physical or psychological, but I'll express a tendency to prefer psychological torture that segues into physical stuff. Because... von Karma's an ass and he'd do that. During case 3, you remember those times that Tahrut's soul nearly left Maya's body, then quickly scrambled back in?
Well. One of those times, he didn't quite make it back.

A theory; what if Rayfa inherited Inga's prosopagnosia? When it's innate rather than the result of injury or a degenerative disease like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, face blindness can run in families. It might explain why she refers to Phoenix as Barbed Head even after she becomes friendly with him; it's stopped being an insult but it's still how she recognises him.
Then there's the bit where Ga'ran says the actor in Plumed Punisher who plays Rayfa looks nothing like the real Rayfa. This is clearly a diss and Rayfa knows it but she immediately jumps to the conclusion that it's not her face being dissed but her figure. One of the things about face blindness is that people with it often can't really recognise their own face any more than they can anyone else's. So their face isn't part of their mental self-image. If someone says "So-and-so looks like/doesn't look like you" the mental comparison they'll run will be about body shape, hair, clothing. Not faces.
And finally, oddly enough, there's the fact that Rayfa didn't know about her father's disorder. She mentioned that Inga had, on multiple occasions, failed to recognise her when she did things like change her hairstyle.
Now the thing is that most people, if their own father failed to recognise them despite seeing them every day, would be very worried. And if their dad explained that the reason he took his own kid for a stranger was a hairstyle change, they'd be even more confused and worried. They'd probably think he had Alzheimer's or was going blind entirely, oh my god dad this is SERIOUS you NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR, and get on his case about it till he explained the truth just to stop them fretting and get some peace.
But Rayfa seems to have just gone 'huh, seems legit' and thought no more of it. It's like she thought not recognising your own family was as understandable as leaving home without your house keys; a minor mistake that anybody could make.
And then in the trial when it came out, besides all the major painful revelations she was dealing with, there'd also be the surprise of 'Wait, that's a thing?'
So anons, I'd like to see you do something with this. Rayfa having face blindness, its impact on her life as a kid and post-canon as an adult, and her feelings about it. (Maybe in a funny way she is kind of glad of it; it's a nuisance and it makes her life harder, but knowing that she has something in common with her dad is kind of a comfort now he's gone.)

Blind!Nahyuta
Inspired by a few prompts above.
This probably goes against canon in some way but his eyes appear quite different from the rest of his family's and resemble those of a blind person. OP actually thought Nahyuta was blind before playing the game given how his eyes look very different from any other character in the series and the lack of eye whites present in his eyes.
Explanation aside, OP here would love a fill exploring Nahyuta's life as a blind person and how it perhaps caused him to be treated differently in the work force or using meditation and religion to manage and accept his blindness. Anything with a Blind!Nahyuta is good in my books!

My headcannon is that Phoenix is pure muscle under the suit (just look at him, he looks huge even under that blue suit of him), but the rest of the characters, for whatever reason, have never really noticed.
But one day, one of them actually see him shirtless (maybe he dropped scalding coffee on himself?) and cant stop gawking at him. Yeah, just watched and remembered about the game "Just Dance" and boom! Idea! Someone had a XBOX and decided to play with the others. (Possibly Edgeworth)
