There's a scene in "The Big C" where Cathy's son finds out that his mother (with terminal cancer) put birthday/Christmas/graduation presents in a storage locker for him for after she was gone, since she didn't think she'd be there to give them to him in person. That scene had me bawling my eyes out like nobody's business, but recently I was thinking about something...
Metis didn't KNOW she was going to die, but she had to know that the work she was doing on the Phantom was dangerous. She was never good at expressing her love for her daughter, but I like to believe she loved her deeply. So it made me wonder...what if Metis did something like that for Athena? And what if Athena found out?
