So as he's gotten older Phoenix has slowly drifted apart from Larry, so far that they don't really talk anymore. Phoenix doesn't seem to think much about.
Edgeworth on the other hand has become very close friends with Larry. They both complain to each other about they're love lives, commiserate over getting beat up by franziska, have regular lunch dates, etc.
