New Requests (5)
Somehow, Franziska gets roped into being Phoenix's co-counsel.
Edgeworth's mother thought she scored, landing a famous lawyer
until she realized his horrible habit of telling the truth and defending clients regardless of ability to pay meant he was always going to be upper-middle class. She leaves him and his son looking for better.
When Gregory dies, she has a new husband and can't be bothered digging up her past romances. She never attempts to get custody and actively approves of Von Karma as Miles' guardian without ever meeting him. She never contacts him.
In the future, Miles finds out she's alive and well and agonizes about contacting her.
Bonus plot: she contacts him after 1-4 hoping to get money when she assumes he'll sue Von Karma for all he's worth, or if she tries to present herself as his only living relative to get his assets after he “chooses death”.
Friend/boyfriend Phoenix and/or friend/fawn-eyed subordinate Gumshoe very welcome.
Gyakuten Saiban x Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Ghost Story (spoilers)
(This is a long prompt, so buckle in for the ride. I will encode the entry once it gets to spoilers for Dai Gyakuten Saiban.) Post Dual Destinies. Mayoi and Harumi investigate an abandoned temple complex that belongs to the Ayasato clan. Rumors have risen that ghosts are haunting the place. As Ayasatos, it's part of their job to see if those rumors are true. If they are, they help the ghosts move on to the afterlife. It's also necessary to discover what changed. The temple was abandoned centuries ago - with safeguards implemented to stop ghost activity from starting in the first place.
Their friends from Tokyo tag along to spend some time together, before Mayoi's studies and responsibilities sweep her away again. They stay at a traditional inn in the village close to the temple complex while Harumi and Mayoi go about their business with the help of a local priestess.
Or that was the plan at least.
The Ayasatos didn’t expect the level of spiritual energy to be that high.
Naruhodou didn’t expect that the villagers look at him as if he was a ghost (heh) and avoid him. Whispers of 'youkai' and 'yuurei' fall.
Odoroki didn’t expect he would get into arguments with a young man in a school uniform who is just as hotheaded as him. Minuki steps in - except she starts arguing with the man, too. Nobody else ever sees this elusive person, although Kokone can hear him. It frustrates Odoroki and Minuki to no end that their new friend always vanishes. He also reacts strangely whenever Naruhodou is close by.
Nobody of the group expects to meet a young woman in the middle of the night (the hour of the ox) walking around in the village who vanishes just as fast as the young man when you look away. They don't realize that only Minuki and Odoroki see her during the day. She always carries the same book with her. A book that, despite its size, seems to cover the most diverse topics. From law to medicine to English mystery novels, the latter of which she gushes loudly about. She also saves Mitsurugi from a rowdy band of drunks by shoulder-throwing them into bushes and glaring the rest into submission. But why did she call him 'Baron' at first?
And nobody expected that a rogue spirit medium has been calling ghosts to the area. What does the medium want? To harness the energy of ghosts who are either restless or still carried some regret even when they went to the afterlife – with the goal to unearth a great treasure hidden in the Ayasato temple. But we are getting ahead. I haven't mentioned yet that Naruhodou feels watched from the moment he steps into the village. Or that he sees glimpses of somebody whose face looks almost like his own. When he tries to look closer, the man is gone.
Then said rogue spirit medium's machinations cause Naruhodou Ryuunosuke to possess Naruhodou Ryuuichi - and everything goes to hell.

* Ghosts can manifest in the temple complex without being channeled because of the high spiritual energy. Chihiro uses this to warn her sister and cousin. Or tries to as she has to make her way through some invisible spiritual barriers around the area. But it still tips them off something is wrong because they can’t channel her.
* The ghosts rarely appear when Mayoi and Harumi are close - they sense their powers. Most of the time people can only see them during the hour of the ox (between 1 and 3 a.m., the Japanese witching hour) if they don’t manifest. Exceptions are spirit mediums, and some people with Arumajiki blood who can perceive them. Aka Minuki and Odoroki/Housuke. Which means sibling shenanigans as they try to learn the mystery behind the mysterious woman and man, and wonder why the two of them can see them.
The Wright Anything Slideshow
Maya and Phoenix have returned from a proper vacation to England and Labyrinthia. Unfortunately for Trucy, Apollo, and Athena, they're forced to sit through the slideshow of the vacation.
Saving someone who is supposedly your enemy: Morals or image?
I recently saw this in my social media feed:
http://www.people.com/article/inmates-break-out-jail-cell-save-life-guard-heart-attack
Basically, in TX, a bunch of inmates broke out of their holding cell and raised a ruckus in order to get their guard, who had collapsed outside their cell door, the quick medical attention he needed.
I'd like to see a just-incarcerated Simon having to decide what to do in that situation. After all, he's already in danger from other inmates due to being a prosecutor, and if he saves a guard, that might make it even worse for him - but on the other hand, he's not really a criminal, and wouldn't want to have the guy's death on his conscience. Does he act alone (he might be able to break out of whatever they got him in on his own, considering how easily he breaks his chains), or convince others to help him? Does he have to think about it for a moment, or does he act right away? What's the aftermath? I think it'd be interesting to read.
