This is sadistic and horrible, but I like the idea of Maya being hurt. Badly. Very badly.
I'm talking Maya tortured in the worst kinds of ways, both physically and mentally. Torture that's prolonged for days, maybe even weeks or months or years. Maybe Engarde had his sick way with her while she was captive in Farewell, My Turnabout. Maybe Kristoph snatched her up. Perhaps it could even be someone she trusted, slowly manipulating her in some way or another, over the course of many years.
And whatever it is, it blows her optimism out like a candle flame, and wipes the smiling facade off her face for maybe forever — or maybe it doesn't, but she's so messed up that she never stops smiling? Or maybe neither, because she gives in to her pain and injuries, and eventually dies? Who knows, it's up to any potential author. But what I do want for sure, is to see our little beam of sunshine broken to pieces.
I'd like focus on the godawful torture, descriptions of how much suffering she feels, during and afterwards. I want her to truly suffer in a variety of ways. I'm not into gore, but I guess I wouldn't really care if it's included. I want to feel utterly and completely depressed rather than squeamish, though. I also want to see her attempting (or even not attempting) to return to a normal life afterwards, but it's near impossible most of the time, because it's always either the physical pain or the mental anguish stopping her from doing things, from enjoying her favourite TV show to even eating normally. I want to see everyone's reactions, too.
Bonus points go to any of her friends' and loved ones' attempts at helping her recover, with everyone trying to remind her that she's important and loved. (Whether this actually works and she gets any better is up to the author, though I personally do prefer happy endings after loads of angst.) Especially Phoenix, who I'd wager would naturally be the most dominant figure in her life after the experience(s?). Bonus-bonus points to Phoenix's POV and him taking care of/being insanely protective of her afterwards, desperately trying to get his cheery assistant and best friend back. If any shipping is to come out of this at all, I'd like Phoenix/Maya. (That would be bonus-bonus-bonus points.)
TL;DR: Maya torture/noncon, with loads of angst. Make her break, and make me cry and feel simply awful on the inside.

Athena loses her hearing, permanently.
I don't much care how - an infection, or perhaps the courthouse explosion. Anything really - so long as it happens in the present, after she is a lawyer accustomed to using her hyperacusis as a tool to aid her in the courtroom.
Going deaf, especially abruptly, is a difficult experience for anyone. But for Athena, given her extremely turbulent relationship with her hearing, I'm fascinated in how it would turn out. The sheer relief she might feel, the terror, the worry that she is no good without this quality that has always defined so much about her life (especially when it comes to communication/court), the bitter realization that there were at least some things she truly loved about her hearing and will now never have again, the eventual coming to terms with her deafness and realizing ways other senses can be wonderful too in ways she didn't fully appreciate before. Any and all of it.
Pairing-wise, I don't care too much. I don't typically like Cykesquill as anything other than a close platonic/familial relationship, but I'd rather have a Cykesquill fill than none, for sure. I'd love to see a lot of fatherly Phoenix, too, and just a supportive cast in general, but if you wanted to write Athena alone in the world coping with this I'd happily take it. I just really want to see this.

Pairing Partners
After completing his first year as an attorney, Apollo finds out that there is a unique subculture to the law system: the pairing system.
Apparently lawyers, detectives, judges, all pair off sexually...it's a symbol of status that you are officially a part of the legal system and should be taken seriously.
Some partners are only "work pairings", meaning they have romantic partners outside of their partners at work, and some are "ace pairings" meaning that they are romantic partners at work and at home. Once you are paired changing partners is frowned upon (unless one party dies), and you are essentially off limits to others within the legal world.
Your first case is sort of a "debut" in more ways that one, and so once new blood is added to the legal world, interested partners will begin to sending their interest to unpaired partner's mentor.
Now that Apollo has finished his first year, he is ready to be paired off and is looking for a good match. He originally wanted Phoenix, but then found out that Phoenix is part of the legendary ace pairing of "Phoenix and Miles", and therefore taken.
Apollo wanders around looking for his pairing partner, and is even the recipient of some propositions, but he hasn't found anyone to pair off with and is worried that this will damage his career someway.
Much to his surprise Klavier is available ( he's unpaired so this is why people like Kristoph and Emma don't take him seriously because he's been unpaired for so long)and Klavier is one of the people sending his intent to pair with Apollo to Phoenix, who as Apollo's mentor, is managing Apollo's pairing. Despite Apollo's protests, Phoenix sets up Apollo on pairing interviews with Klavier.
kinks: match-making, initiation sex, courting.
Pairings: Klavier x Apollo, Phoenix x Edgeworth, any other pairings the filler would like to have in there.
bonus points: if it's found out that the reason Apollo was unaware of this tradition is because Kristoph was intending to sell-off Apollo the moment Apollo had received his badge, and so kept it secret from Apollo.
