Long story short: Kristoph watches as Phoenix takes atroquinine (willingly or not, it's up to you)
So, I have a dumb theory that Kristoph is so close to Phoenix (close enough that Phoenix believed they were friends) cos Phoenix actually survived one of Kristoph's atroquinine poisonings. And Phoenix's miraculous survival had Kristoph intrigued. And maybe Kristoph starts actually seeing Phoenix as a "friend" (think Hannibal in season 1 experimenting on and manipulating his "friend" cos that's apparently what friends are for)
So I want to see Kristoph making Phoenix take poison and watching his reaction. It could be sneaked into his food, it could be Kristoph forcing him to take it, it could be Phoenix willingly taking it either cos he knows he'll live/really doesn't care if he dies at this point anymore.
