Imagine if not just Phoenix, but every lawyer in the series had someone who was their polar opposite, but looked almost exactly like them. And all of them have the same bright-orange sunburn, the same Brooklyn accent, and the same ridiculous fashion sense.
Every lawyer has a Furio Tigre. Edgeworth has one, Apollo has one, Klavier has one, Kristoph has one, Franziska has one, Athena has one, Mia had one, Gregory had one, von Karma had one, even the Paynes each have their own.
Now imagine the hilarity of all these doppelgängers in the same room.

We've had several stories dealing with Miles attempting suicide. What about Phoenix? He's was differently hurt and scarred but nonetheless carries deep wounds from as early as his childhood.
The actual prompt - you would expect Phoenix would feel amazing after DD. His agency is thriving, he has three wonderful persons he considers his children / protégés, Miles works in L.A. again, he has started to help bring down the Dark Age of the Law, Simon Blackquill is free and safe, the phantom has been caught, etc. So, he should feel good, right? He doesn't. Too many things went wrong. Apollo's almost broken faith and being attacked. Athena reliving her trauma. Aura Blackquill in prison because the law system moved too slow. Trucy and other being taken hostage. Phoenix's old emotional and mental wounds are rearing up again, especially when he work is idle and he has time to think, to feel. He feels like a fraud - the disbarment, his loss of hope during seven years, his behavior in AJ, that Miles helped with the bar exam- Can he do anything right? He expects any moment that his life is going to crumble again. Nobody needs him and they have no reason to stay with him, especially if he should disappoint them.
The days become a drag, and that is before he gets a bad cold that clouds his mind even more. And before a lot of tiny things go wrong, piling up within a few days. He's so tired; so, so tired that he regularly wishes to vanish (because death is painful, but 'only' stopping to exist?). One day he leaves the agency in the evening - and does almost something stupid. Maybe he follows an impulse to climb onto a bridge's railing over an icy, raging river. Maybe he contemplates mixing strong alcohol with a bottle of sleeping pills. Maybe he knots a noose and gets so far as to step onto a chair. That nothing else happens is only because he lacks the drive to pull through before something distracts him. A call by friend, for example. It doesn't hit him what he tried to do as he walks home.
Until it does a few later. He's feeling better from his cold; while he does something utterly mundane, his brain has time to process. And in the middle of doing this mundane activity, he remembers what he tried to do, the enormity hitting him as well as the delayed panic and fear. His friends receive a big shock when he breaks down crying for seemingly no reason. He can barely speak because he's crying so hard. He can barely tell why he's so distraught, and he does, he asks not to be left alone. I'm requesting a happy or at least hopeful resolution and that his feelings and he as person are treated respectfully. Phoenix went through a lot, but always put other people's before himself, and he needs help.
